The drilling produces ore that will tell the company what grade the potash is in the area.

Gensource hopes to build a series of solution mines that would be around a tenth of the size of a typical potash mine.
“The fact that our project is based on modules, smaller size, very compact, it’s very, very gentle within a community, both environmentally, but also provides economic activity,” Rob Theoret, Gensource’s chief financial officer, said.

Officials say the Vanguard project could be constructed next summer, with production starting two years after that.
The company has previously stated the Vanguard project could produce upwards of 250,000 tonnes of potash yearly once operational and employ 46 long-term staff.
