WINNIPEG — The cell tower providing MTS services at the Winnipeg James Richardson International Airport caught fire Thursday.

A public safety advisory sent out from MTS saying service is out.

This means people who use MTS mobility may not be able to use their voice, text or data service at the airport or in the surrounding area.

MTS said crews will be working through the night to repair the damage.

Service is expected to be restored in the area by Friday the earliest.
