The annual BBC Music Awards took place Monday in London, and for the second year in a row the top awards went to Adele.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, her latest album 25 won Album of the Year while its first single, Hello, took Song of the Year.
Adele, still on tour, wasn’t in attendance to accept her awards, but invited Brit pop singer Robbie Williams to accept on her behalf, and he read the audience a special greeting penned by Adele herself.

“Thank you for this award,” wrote Adele. “I feel a bit bad winning it when the album’s been out for so long, but nevertheless, you know I love you. Always have and always will.”
Williams added his own postscript: “I’d just like to say congratulations, Adele. It’s an honour to accept this award on your behalf. It’s a beautiful album, and you’re an incredibly deserving winner. You’re also an amazing mom. She’s an incredible mom. The hardest-working mom in show business. Love you, Adele. Congratulations.”
The lovefest between Williams and Adele continued in the Twitterverse:
Adele, however, did not win British Artist of the Year, as she did in 2015; instead, that honour went to Chris Martin and Coldplay.
