WATCH: 2017 Golden Globe movie nominations announced – Dec 12, 2016

The Golden Globe Awards 2017 nominees were announced on Monday morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel. The Golden Globes honour the year’s best in film and TV, split into the genres of comedy (or musical) and drama.

Actors Don Cheadle, Laura Dern and Anna Kendrick announced the nominees at 5:15 a.m. PST/8:15 a.m. EST.

Some of 2017’s movie nominees include La La Land (starring Canada’s own Ryan Gosling, who also picked up his own Best Actor nod), Manchester By the Sea and breakout hit Moonlight, while over on the TV side, The People vs. O.J. Simpson was nominated multiple times. Other notable shows include Westworld, Stranger Things, The Crown and old stalwart Game of Thrones, which were all nominated in various categories.

The full list of nominees is below. The 74th annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017. Talk-show star Jimmy Fallon is hosting the ceremony.

Meryl Streep will be receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award this year. Sistine, Sophia and Scarlet Stallone, the three daughters of actor Sylvester, will be the first-ever trio of Miss Golden Globes.
