TORONTO – Police have laid more charges related to the worst mass shooting in Toronto’s history.
Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old male just after 10 p.m. Thursday.
The youth, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with two counts of second degree murder, one count of attempted murder, reckless discharge of a firearm and 22 counts of aggravated assault.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in a Toronto courtroom Friday morning.
On Thursday, police announced that Nahom “Gifted” Tsegazab, an alleged member of the Galloway Boys gang, has been charged with two counts of second degree murder, one count of attempted murder and 23 counts of aggravated assault.

Tsegazab was previously charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
On November 8, police announced they had charged an 18-year-old male in connection with the shooting rampage that left two people dead and injured 23 others.
Shaquan “Bam Bam” Mesquito was charged with two counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder, 24 counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless discharge of a firearm.
Mesquito, who was arrested in the summer, was initially charged with uttering threats prior to the July 16 shooting.
Photographs of two young men, who police say are persons of interest, were also shown during the November 8 news conference.
Police have identified and questioned the individual in the first composite sketch. The man in the second composite drawing has only been identified as “JUVI.”
