A youth has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a Grande Prairie man earlier this week.
RCMP were called to a residence in the northwest Alberta city at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. An injured man inside the home was taken to hospital where he later died.
The cause of the man’s death has not been released.
RCMP took a person into custody and on Friday said a youth was charged. The young person’s name will not be released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

RCMP said the victim’s name will not be released in order to protect the identity of the youth.
Police said this was not a random incident.
