SASKATOON – The doctor shortage in Saskatchewan is the worst in Canada, according to a new study.
The Canadian Institute for Health Information released a study that shows the province has the lowest doctor-to-patient ratio in Canada.

In 2011, there were 181 physicians for every 100,000 people.
The national average is 203.
The study also found 32 per cent of doctors in Saskatchewan are women, one of the lowest percentages in the country.
