Emergency crews said a woman in her mid-twenties was taken to Foothills hospital in critical condition, after suffering a gunshot wound Saturday night. Police said she is now listed in stable condition.
Police were called to a home in the 1900 block of 30 Street S.E. just before 9:30 p.m.
Investigators said the shooter fled the scene before the officers arrived.
A massive police presence was seen along 17 Avenue following the incident, as police searched for the suspect.
It’s unclear if the suspect and the victim are known to each other.
Police continue to investigate and speak with witnesses.
