Two south Okanagan communities will each soon have new affordable housing complexes for seniors.
Liberal MLA Linda Larson made the first of two announcements in Okanagan Falls Wednesday morning.
The project in OK Falls will see the construction of 35 affordable housing units for seniors starting in the summer of next year.
The government will be giving $4.7-million to the South Skaha Housing Society for capital funding towards the project.
The complex will go in an empty lot beside the legion on Veterans Way.
Larson said BC housing will work with the society to get the project completed for the summer of 2018.
She also announced $3.1-million investment for 24 units of affordable rental housing in Keremeos.
