Striking transit bus drivers in the central Okanagan want their job action to get political.

The workers set up picket lines Tuesday outside Kelowna City Hall and the West Kelowna constituency office of the premier.

They want Christy Clark and Kelowna city officials to get involved in the dispute.

Earlier in the day, the drivers protested on the pedestrian overpass bridge on Highway 97 in Kelowna.

The strike began last Thursday with wage increases a main point of dispute.

There are no new talks scheduled.
