Hope is dwindling to find a missing man in an area south of Revelstoke, according to RCMP.
On October 8, David Anthony Klammer, 39, left Saskatchewan in his white 2003 Subaru Impreza. He was expected in White Rock but never arrived. He was reported missing on October 21.
On October 26, a backpack believed to be Klammer’s was found in the brush along a logging road referred to as Twelve Mile south of Revelstoke.
On Monday, Klammer’s Subaru Impreza was found parked at the end of the logging road.

Sgt. Kim Hall with the Revelstoke RCMP told CHBC News that Klammer’s last known conversation with his family took place on October 8. She says it appears a text message was sent from his cell phone on October 13 to a friend but that cannot be confirmed.
She added Klammer’s cell phone has since been turned off and RCMP are unable to ping the phone to pinpoint his location.
Hall said Klammer told friends he was going to be touring the B.C. Interior. However there is nothing in RCMP files to indicate Klammer knows anyone in the Revelstoke area.
She notes all missing persons cases are deemed suspicious until they are resolved otherwise.
“We don’t believe anything has happened to him. There didn’t appear to be any kind of struggle or encounter with animal life,” she said.
Search crews scoured the area on Tuesday and a further search north of the area where Klammer’s backpack as found will be conducted Thursday.
However, there is mounting concern for Klammer’s well-being as temperatures begin to drop.
“We’re very concerned for someone out in this type of weather over this period of time,” Hall said. “It’s been very cold at night. We don’t have any snow yet but we do have rain and it’s very cold out there.”
“We hope for the family that he’s well however, with this length of time and with weather conditions, unfortunately the hope is dwindling.”
