When you’re on a road trip and it comes time for a pit stop, sometimes the idea of using a gas station bathroom will force you to hold it a little bit longer. But that’s not the case with at least one gas station bathroom in Alberta.
Among the award-winning features in the bathrooms are decorative eye-catching lighting, subway and mosaic tiles and ornate carved mirrors.
“The men’s restroom features brown monochrome design paired with decorative wall tiles, giving this modern restroom a classy look. The combination of straight and curve edges on the countertops creates an interesting piece of art,” reads the description of the washrooms on the contest website.
Three Alberta washrooms made it into the top five in this year’s contest. The bathrooms in Calgary’s Sauce Italian Kitchen & Market and the RiverWalk public washrooms in Calgary’s East Village also made the top five.
W Montreal in Montreal and Assiniboine Park Lyric Theatre in Winnipeg were the other two finalists.
