Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with three violent assaults on women in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal borough.
The alleged attacks took place between 9 p.m.Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday.
In all three cases, police said the suspect followed his victims and grabbed them from behind before violently beating them.
Police said the women managed to fight off their assailant in the first two attacks.
But the third victim, who was attacked Friday, was beaten and sexually assaulted.
François Dulude, 26, was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday.
Montreal police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said Dulude is expected to appear in court Monday.
