A man in his 40s suffered critical injuries after being hit by a CTrain in northeast Calgary on Thursday.
It happened in the area of 36 Street and 20 Avenue N.E. at around 8:10 a.m.
Sgt. David DenRandt said a pedestrian was seen walking along the middle of the CTrain tracks.

The train was travelling northbound between 16 Avenue and 20 Avenue S.E. at the time.
“It wasn’t within a normal pedestrian crossing,” DenRandt added.
