Traffic grinded to a halt near a northeast Edmonton intersection for nearly eight hours Wednesday following a collision between a structure police called a house and an overpass.
According to police, drivers were being asked to avoid the area near Fort Road and 66 Street as of 8 a.m. “after a semi carrying a house hit an overpass” and forced all lanes of Fort Road to be closed there.
At 3:30 p.m., police said the intersection had been reopened.
