Computer failure and technical issues are to blame for SkyTrain delays and holding up commuters Monday afternoon.

Both the Expo and Millennium Lines were impacted by the mechanical issues and commuters were delayed for more than an hour.

Service was interrupted on the Expo Line to the King George station and on trains between Sapperton and Production Way stations. On the Millennium Line there was no service between VCC and Lougheed stations.

Bus bridges were being set up from Edmonds to downtown Vancouver to alleviate congestion.

Although service has restored, TransLink still warns commuters to expect delays.
