Think your Ghostbusters jack o’lantern is pretty cool? It’s probably got nothing on the creations from NASA.

The NASA jet propulsion laboratory holds an annual pumpkin-carving contest, and the results are pretty incredible. The NASA engineers bend the limits of what constitutes a “pumpkin”, adding flashing lights, moving parts, and robotics to the once-humble gourds.

Creating these pumpkins took a lot of effort, according to Yazzie. Here’s a tweet about his group’s preparation.
