WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are searching for suspects after shots were fired at the Starbucks in the Canad Inns attached to Health Sciences Centre Sunday night.
The shots were fired around 10 p.m. at 700 William Avenue. Police said there were no injuries just damage to property.
“Multiple suspects confronted an unknown male victim while inside the lobby of the business, said Const. Jason Michalyshen at a media conference Monday.
After having “brief contact” with the suspects, the victim fled into the Starbucks and ran behind the counter, police said. Two men, one armed with a small calibre handgun, chased him into the coffee shop. Then a man with a gun fired three rounds in the direction of the victim, police said.
