A 26-year-old man has been charged after a 50-year-old woman was found dead at a Red Deer residence Thursday morning.
Police said officers were called to a home in an area near West Park Crescent just before 4 a.m. Inside, they found the body of a woman, later identified as 50-year-old Tina-Marie Pfeiffer, of Red Deer.
Mounties said while officers were still at the scene, they received a report of a man in the area walking down the street in his underwear. Officers found the man and took him into custody.
An autopsy conducted Friday determined Pfeiffer’s death to be a homicide and the suspect was charged in connection with her death.
Jordan Koizumi of Red Deer has been charged with second-degree murder.
He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
