HALIFAX – The Nova Scotia government says it is moving the headquarters for the provincial Fisheries Department to Cornwallis in the Annapolis Valley by early next year.
The government says 20 full-time jobs will be moved to the former library at the Lester B. Pearson Canadian International Peacekeeping Training Centre.

The government says the change is part of its strategy of shifting government jobs to rural Nova Scotia.
The Fisheries staff will be sharing space with regional staff from the departments of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister Sterling Belliveau says renovations will begin soon with the offices expected to open next summer.
