The City of Regina is offering free transit rides to the polls on election day.

Free service is offered to conventional and Paratransit customers. The ride includes return trips – if riders tell the driver they are going to vote.

The polls opened at 9 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.

Voters in the west part of Ward 6 who are required to vote in polling station #17 are being offered a special free shuttle over.

Buses marked “Charter Poll 17” will run from Albert Community School starting at 9 a.m. and will pick-up every 15 minutes at each stop; the last bus will depart Albert Community School at 7:30 p.m. The first return bus will leave Eastview Community Centre at 9:30 a.m. and drop-off to each stop every 15 minutes; the last bus will depart the polling station at 8:15 p.m.

Below are the five special stops available for people voting in polling station #17.

  • 4th Ave at Rae Street westbound
  • Robinson Street at 5th Ave southbound
  • Albert Community School southbound
  • Dewdney Ave at Robinson Street eastbound (bus stop #33)
  • Dewdney Ave at Rae Street eastbound (bus stop #34)
