Hilltops three-peat almost complete

The Saskatoon Hilltops and the London Beefeaters met on the field for the first time ever at the 2012 Jostens Cup.

The Toppers defeated London 51-7 at Gordie Howe Bowl yesterday.

Quarterback Matt Karpinka passed for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns for Saskatoon.

The Hilltops shut out the Regina Thunder last Sunday to win their third straight Prairie Football Conference (PFC) championship.

The Beefeaters claimed their first Ontario Football Conference (OFC) title against the Hamilton Hurricanes two weeks prior. The Hurricanes made it to nationals last season.

The Blue and Gold will travel to B.C. to play the Langley Rams in the 2012 CJFL Canadian Bowl on November 10th.

Saskatoon has won the national trophy the two previous seasons.
