The approximately $46-million dollar building is located at the corner of Ellis Street and Doyle Avenue.

“The new Community Health and Services Centre was the result of creative collaboration, with the goal of offering the best services for patients,” Kelowna-Mission MLA Steve Thomson said in a news release. “I’m looking forward to the doors opening and residents in the region having access to quality care in one central location.”

The CHSC is expected to treat upwards of 500 patients per day with services including immunizations, mental health and substance control counselling, prenatal and maternity services, chronic disease management and child health speech and audiology services.

“When we open the doors of this facility to the public in December, we know that our clients and their families will benefit from
enhanced client spaces and a convenient healthcare facility,” IH board chair Erwin Malzer said.

It will also house 800 IH employees, who will be moving in over the next six weeks.
