Drivers in Vancouver may not be happy with a new city council plan for the city’s transportation.
Mayor Gregor Robertson has unveiled a report titled “Transportation 2040.”
It outlines a plan to see two thirds of all trips taken within Vancouver by made by transit, cycling or walking by the year 2040.

The proposals include an underground transit line along Broadway, more bike lanes, eliminating car access on certain streets and removing parking along some other roads.
As for the cost, the reports sets aside at least 70 million dollars for the next two years.
City council is expected to vote on the report next week.
