In a historically divisive U.S. presidential race, groups are beginning to hedge their bets on the outcome of Election Day on Nov. 8.
A gun shop in Las Vegas is predicting a victory for Hillary Clinton, and instructing customers to add to their arsenal now.
An advertisement for a ‘Pre-Hillary Sale’ at Westside Armory offers a Smith & Wesson M&P Sport II semi-automatic rifle for a price of $699.99. The caption reads “Don’t wait! Prices will skyrocket after Crooked Hillary gets in!”
The ad is clearly aimed at Donald Trump supporters as he often refers to his political opponent as “Crooked Hillary”.
A quick online scan shows the price for the semi-automatic weapon is generally lower at other stores.
The shop implies they believe an inevitable Clinton win would make buying guns more difficult, driving up their prices — a theory perpetuated by Donald Trump.
“Hillary wants to essentially abolish the second Amendment,” Trump told supporters in North Carolina in August.

In the same rally, Trump infamously said the “second amendment people” might be the only ones able to stop Clinton’s appointing of Supreme Court judges, a claim many believed hinted to violence against the Democratic nominee.
Trump’s repeated claims that Clinton wants to “abolish” the Second Amendment, has been widely billed as false. The former secretary of state has never made those claims, though she has called on stricter background checks.
The gun shop was featured in a Bloomberg article earlier this year where Westside Armory owner Cameron Hopkins spoke on their recent record gun sales. Hopkins was quoted saying that “fear sells so many guns” and admitted that “In the end, I guess I’m just a capitalist.”
The ‘Pre-Hillary’ ad ran in the Las Vegas Review-Journal which was recently purchased by Trump backer and billionaire Sheldon Adelson.
