The Saskatoon Hilltops extended their win streak to five games with a 43-9 victory over the Edmonton Wildcats on Sunday at SMF Field.
The matchup between the two Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) teams couldn’t have been any more lopsided. Saskatoon sat just a few points shy of top spot in the Prairie Football Conference while Edmonton was searching for their first win of the season.

By the second quarter, the Toppers were already up 12-0 when quarterback Jared Andreychuk found Jason Price, who was nearly brought down but fought his way into the endzone. The Hilltops go up 19-0.
On the ensuing kickoff, Edmonton’s Isaac Fagnan worked his way through traffic and into the house for the kick-return touchdown, cutting the lead to 19-7.
The Hilltops responded this time with Andreychuck connecting with fourth-year reciever Ryan Turple to give the home team a 26-7 lead.
Saskatoon held on to their lead and ended the game with a score of 43-9.
The Hilltops finish the regular season next Sunday in Winnipeg when they take on the Rifles.
