Kaluta said there were seven people in the home at the time of the shooting. He said half were sleeping and the others were gathered in the main living room.

“We were just inside talking, having fun and then we heard gunshots,” Kaluta remembered.

“We ran to the basement.”

According to Kaluta, his friend was standing and they were lucky no one was struck.

“Those two bullets went to the direction where my friend and I were standing so … it was scary,” Kaluta said.
