MONTREAL – In what may be his final day on the stand at the Charbonneau Commission inquiry, Lino Zambito is expected to go back over some of what he has already said, and then face a potentially challenging round of cross-examination.
Commission lawyer Denis Gallant said Monday evening that he wanted to question the former construction boss in more detail about his ties and dealings with the city of Montreal.

Following those questions, which Gallant said should take about an hour, lawyers for other parties that have been granted official status at the commission will have the opportunity to ask Zambito questions of their own.
Among those who will likely be standing up to exercise that right are: the lawyer for the city of Montreal, the lawyer representing the provincial justice department and the lawyer representing Quebec’s association of construction companies.
