Saskatchewan farmers continue to make progress with the 2016 harvest despite rain this past weekend.
According to the weekly crop report from Saskatchewan Agriculture, 70 per cent of the crop is combined, slightly behind the five-year average of 79 per cent combined for this time of year.

Another 22 per cent of the crop is swathed or ready to straight-cut.
The report states 98 per cent of field peas, 93 per cent of lentils, 68 per cent of durum, 67 per cent of spring wheat, 61 per cent of canola and 20 per cent of flax is combined.
Harvest is furthest ahead in the southwest, with 79 per cent of the crop in the bin. Some producers in the south are reporting they have completed their harvest.

Producers reported strong winds blew around some canola swaths, resulting in shattering losses.
Crop damage was also reported due to standing water while bleaching, sprouting, fusarium and earth tag have caused grade loss.
