WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police say they are concerned for a missing Manitoba woman’s well-being as she is facing some “personal challenges.”
Christine Wood, 21, went missing in Winnipeg’s St. James area more than a month ago. Police and her family held a media conference Wednesday saying there have been a number of potential sightings.
Police are said Wood may be associated with people tied to drug trade. They said they have investigated persons of interest.

On Aug. 19, Wood was in Winnipeg with her parents from Oxford House First Nation to accompany a family member to a medical appointment. She never came back to her hotel after going out that evening.
Her family called her cellphone and texted her, but never heard back. Her family said she is always in regular communication with them, and this is not typical behaviour for her.
