Toronto police deem Centennial College safe after earlier ‘security threat’

Toronto police have deemed Centennial College safe and an earlier perimeter has been lifted after a “security threat” was reported Wednesday morning.

A police spokeswoman told Global News officers were called to school around 8:30 a.m. and Blocks B and C were evacuated as a precaution.

Centennial College’s Schools of Business and Hospitality, Tourism and Culture are located at the Progress Campus.

The incident comes days after Mohawk College and McMaster University in Hamilton received an anonymous bomb threat. Police didn’t find anything suspicious.
