The Saskatchewan government has released a video that shows not all drivers are obeying automated flaggers.
According to a government official, crews from the Highways Ministry went to shoot a video on Highway 2 near Liberty to remind drivers to obey automated flagger assistance devices (AFAD).

While there, crews filmed a semi blowing past the AFAD, which the official said was red and was not staged.
AFADs are portable traffic lights that are operated remotely, flashing green to go and red to stop.

The ministry started building AFADs after seeing the effectiveness of two devices built by Potzus Paving & Road Maintenance.
The company built the AFADs following a crash near Paradise Hills in August 2015 that injured a flag person.
