WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police say they’ve recovered a Taser that was stolen from an officer during a downtown brawl.
It went missing on September 3 when officers responded to a fight between a large number of people happening in the area of Rorie St and Bannatyne Ave.
When two officers tried to help a man who had been injured, individuals from within the crowd attacked them.
As a result a Taser was fired and then dropped. Police believe this is when it was taken.
The Taser was recovered early Saturday afternoon.
An arrest has been made and charges are pending but police aren’t releasing any more details.
