RCMP have released more details about a “sophisticated” grow operation they uncovered in central Saskatchewan last week.

On Sept. 16, a search warrant was executed in the Rural Municipality of Medstead.

Police seized approximately 700 marijuana plants, around 2.3 kilograms of packaged marijuana and over $6,000 cash on the premises.

Officials said this is the largest amount of marijuana seized in a grow-op setting this year by RCMP in the province.

Two people from the Medstead area and an Ontario man were arrested and charged with offences under the Controlled Drugs Substances Act.
