It was the Hilltops’ first return to the Apple Bowl since the 2000 Canadian Bowl.
The Hilltops jumped to a 14-point lead after only three minutes into the game and never looked back.
The Sun’s offence failed to generate a touchdown and managed to score only two points on a conceded safety from the Hilltops.
The Sun were held to only 111 yards on the ground and completed only five of 15 passes for a total of 60 yards.
The Sun’s record falls to 6-2 with the loss.
