The Sheepdogs are returning to their roots for a one-time show at Amigos to support community radio in Saskatoon.

The concert, taking place on Oct. 1, will support the CFCR’s annual fundraising drive FM-Phasis.

“We’re all really honoured that the guys agreed to play such a special intimate show to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of FM-Phasis,” said Arnie Van Lambalgen, music director of CFCR 90.5 FM.

All four members of the Sheepdogs have hosted shows on CFCR and still support the station with guest appearances.

“We want to support a station that gave us so much support back when we first started, as they still do with so many local musicians,” said bass guitarist Ryan Gullen.

“We want to do our part to keep a thriving staple of the Saskatoon music community on the air and celebrate their success.”

Tickets for the show, which cost $40, go on sale Sept. 9 to the general public, with a pre-sale for CFCR members starting Sept. 7.

All proceeds from the show will go to benefit the station.
