Four injured when truck slams into Kelowna bus shelter

KELOWNA, B.C. – Police are investigating an accident on Glenmore Road in Kelowna where a truck slammed into a bus shelter, injuring four people.

It happened around 7:20 p.m. Friday near Kane Road.

The injured pedestrians have been rushed to Kelowna General Hospital.

RCMP say one person has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and the other three sustained what are believed to be minor injuries.

The small white truck with crew cab drove off the road onto the boulevard into the bus shelter after just turning onto Glenmore from Kane.

The road is slick due to rain.

RCMP are investigating if the driver lost control.
