Creep Hunters lures men online who want to have sex with under-aged girls. They’ve been up and running for only a few months and have videotaped several men who show up for a meeting they believe is with a 14-year-old girl, but their latest suspect stands out.

Steff, not her real name, is a decoy for Creep Hunters. She said her third catch is someone who works for the justice system in the Southern Interior.

“The man that we caught is a sheriff. He sent pictures, two pictures of himself in his uniform,” she said.

The two had met on Craigslist. In her ad, Steff said she was new in town and was looking for some company. The sheriff was looking for much more than that.

“He had told me that he had placed an ad about a father and daughter fantasy he had,” Steff said.

And then the photos got graphic.

“He sent me one standing naked, I believe it was in the bathroom and he sent me two penis pictures,” said Steff.

The sheriff was confronted by members of Creep Hunters in an Okanagan parking lot and sped away but he did reach out to Steff one last time.

“He did send me a text asking me what he could do so I don’t ruin his life and I just said ‘leave me alone’ and he said ‘okay’, and that’s the last I heard from him,” said Steff.

Global News contacted the Ministry of Justice which oversees B.C. Sheriffs. They said they’re aware of the story but have yet to get back to us. The RCMP said they’re also aware of the story but didn’t say if they would be investigating it. The RCMP went on to say that such investigations should be left to the police.

An attempt was made to contact the sheriff but we’re told that he wasn’t at work Monday.
