A Burnaby woman is the lucky winner of $1 million in last week’s Lotto Max draw.
Linda Spruston chose enough right numbers to score one of Lotto Max’s $1 million Maxmillion prizes in the Aug. 12 draw.
“There are times I’m on the SkyTrain, and I just want to grab somebody and tell them I’m a lottery winner!” Spruston said in a press release.
Her excitement will be shared with her husband, their six children and her two sisters who will all get a piece of the pie “to make their lives easier,” she added.
The remainder of the money will be used to pay off their mortgage and go to charity.
“I will give a generous amount to Children’s Hospital because one of my daughters received a lot of help and support at the hospital.”
Her husband also wants to buy a new pair of shoes, but Spruston joked he could have afforded new shoes before winning the lottery.
The winning ticket was bought at Lougheed Mall at the lottery kiosk.
