Winnipeg Blue Bombers release pair

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers made a pair of moves on Wednesday as they released national fullback Tim Cronk and national receiver Seydou Junior Haidara.

Cronk, 29, appeared in six games with the Bombers this season where he played mostly on special teams. He joined the Bombers in 2015 and dressed for 15 games in his first season in the blue and gold. He also played one season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and three seasons with the B.C. Lions.

Haidara, 27, was on the club’s practice roster but saw action in two games earlier in the season. He broke into the CFL with the Lions in 2013 where he played two seasons. Haidara also appeared in nine games with the Riders in 2015 and had a brief stint with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Bombers will look to make it four straight wins on Friday when they take on the Montreal Alouettes at Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium.
