VERNON – A rupture in an underground water main has disrupted traffic on Highway 97 through Vernon.
It happened at about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 39th Street and 32nd Avenue.

Police say the gushing water has damaged pavement on the highway creating pot holes and flooding.
Highway 97 through Vernon will remain single lane in each direction through the night.
