GlobalFest organizers have postponed Tuesday evening’s Mexico fireworks presentation due to “unsafe conditions” caused by high-intensity winds.
Instead, the display will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
“The safety of all of our participants is of the utmost priority for us at GlobalFest, and we thank you for your patience and understanding at this time,” reads a statement posted on the GlobalFest website.
Those who purchased tickets for the Tuesday night presentation will be able to use their tickets to gain entry to Eliston Park on Wednesday for the rescheduled show, but are warned that is the only evening those tickets will be accepted.
According to a statement on the GlobalFest website the change will not impact the USA fireworks presentation planned for Thursday, Aug. 25.
GlobalFest warned no refunds or exchanges will be issued.
This year’s schedule is as follows:
- Mexico: (moved to) Wednesday, Aug. 24
- USA: Thursday, Aug. 25
- Finale (Canada): Saturday, Aug. 27
