An investigation is underway in Burnaby after a targeted shooting sent one victim to hospital.
Witnesses say shots were fired just before 9 p.m. Monday on Canada Way near 12th Avenue.
Police arrived on scene to find an adult man with gun shot injuries. He was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses say the suspect allegedly involved is an adult Caucasian man, dressed in all black clothing. Police say the suspect was seen by witnesses running from the scene to a waiting dark-coloured vehicle with a roof rack. There was at least one other person in the vehicle, likely the driver, and the car left the scene quickly.

Mounties are continuing to investigate this shooting but do believe it was targeted.
