Dozens of people took the plunge and rappelled down a prominent downtown Winnipeg building for charity Wednesday morning.

Global’s Heather Steele was one of those who rappelled down 250 feet as part of the 2016 Easter Seals Drop Zone.

For the first time in its 12 year history, the Drop Zone location changed. The 75 participants rappelled down the Manitoba Hydro building on Portage Avenue.

Drop Zone is the biggest fundraiser for Easter Seals SMD Foundation and more than one million dollars has been raised since 2005.
