An RCMP member has been taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after their police car was rear-ended on Highway 1.
The unmarked SUV car was parked on the side of the highway, westbound, between 232 Street and Glover Road, when it was rear-ended by pick-up truck.
The Mountie was on the scene of a single vehicle rollover waiting for a tow-truck when the SUV was hit.
The RCMP member was taken to hospital with “serious injuries.”
The three people inside the pick-up that rear-ended the Mountie were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation is currently underway.
Police say that section of the highway is currently closed for an undetermined amount of time.
Police say they are also investigating the single vehicle rollover.
