Police allegedly Taser man at Occupy protest

A march turned from celebratory to violent Monday in downtown Winnipeg. The event was to mark the one year anniversary of the worldwide Occupy movement.

Dozens marched from the Manitoba Legislature to MP Shelley Glover’s constituency office on St. Mary’s Road.

Protestors said police crossed the line when they allegedly Tasered a man for what they say was no reason. Police said a Taser was not discharged.

The protest was one of 17 held across Canada to demand action against Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his Conservative government.
