Four-year-old Addison Willis is this year’s ACH foundation ambassador.

Addison was born with a  rare genetic blood disorder called thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TPP) that causes blood clots to form in small vessels. Addison’s mom Jennica was told only 100 people in the world are known to have it.

Addison can now be treated at home through plasma injections that mom Jennica administers every three days.

Thanks to these injections, Addison is now living the life of a typical 4-year-old, taking ballet and swimming lessons and attending preschool.

Addison manages to keep a positive focus even when she explains to people, “my blood is sick.”
