No rate change this winter for SaskEnergy

Good news for SaskEnergy customers – the crown utility is making no rate change for natural gas this winter.

SaskEnergy says market conditions are enabling it to hold at the current rate of $3.82/Gigajoule, the lowest rate in 12 years.

The rate was lowered from $4.55/GJ this past spring.

“Our customers will remain shielded from continuous volatility in commodity markets, providing certainty for home and business owners in budgeting their energy dollars,” said Doug Kelln, SaskEnergy president and CEO.

SaskEnergy says it will review its commodity rate this spring.
