Carrie Fisher is coming to Saskatoon. Fisher, who plays Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, will be at the Saskatoon Expo on Sept. 17-18.
“Saskatoon has some of the kindest and most enthusiastic fans in the country, and that word spreads,” said Lindsay Thomas, a spokesperson for the event.
To have an iconic actress like Carrie Fisher coming in just year three is unprecedented. It’s going to be a great year!”

Fisher will be featured in a spotlight panel where she will discuss her career, and for a cost, people can meet her at an autograph and photo ops sessions.
Others guests announced today include voice actors Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham.
James Marsters, who plays Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will also be at the event.

Saskatoon Expo is a two-day event taking place at Prairieland Park of all things pop culture.
Last year, 13,000 people attended the event, which featured William Shatner.
Previous guests have included John Barrowman, Tricia Helfer, Robert Englund and Billy Boyd.
