Waywayseecappo First Nation residents are cleaning up the damage after a tornado ripped through the community Monday evening.

At least one home was destroyed and seven others damaged. No injuries have been reported.

Eric Mentuck, who is a Waywayseecappo First Nation resident, caught the tornado on video.

“It was about 5 p.m., and we saw a real low cloud moving quickly. After 15 minutes that cloud formed into a funnel and touched down. It then went back up and came down again. The second time it went down is when it turned really dangerous.”
